Lone Star Legal Aid Offers Free Legal Help for Veterans During Texas Veterans Legal Aid Week

HOUSTON, Texas — Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) is proud to participate in Texas Veterans Legal Aid Week (TVLAW), a statewide initiative held November 10–16 in honor of Veterans Day. The effort—coordinated by the Texas Access to Justice Foundation—brings together legal aid organizations, local bar associations, law schools, and pro bono attorneys to provide free civil legal services to qualified Texas veterans.

Throughout the week, LSLA will host and participate in in-person and virtual clinics to help veterans address a wide range of civil legal issues, including housing, family law, benefits, and consumer matters.

A list of in-person and virtual clinics and events throughout the state can be found by visiting https://texaslawhelp.org/tvlaw

“Texas veterans have made extraordinary sacrifices for our country,” said Andrew Moore, Managing Attorney of LSLA’s Military and Veterans Unit. “We are honored to give back by helping them secure the legal protections and stability they deserve.”

While Texas Veterans Legal Aid Week highlights this critical work, LSLA’s commitment to Veterans continues year-round.
