How do I make a donation?

In the MobileCause donation portal (left)…

1. Choose the amount you would like to donate. Options for $25, $50, and $100 are available, but you can donate any amount of your choosing by selecting the “Other” option and typing in your desired amount in the field below.
2. Select your desired donation frequency from the available options: one time, weekly, or quarterly.
3. Fill out the contact information fields with your first name, last name, mobile number, email, address, city, state, and zip. There is an optional “comment” field where you can choose to add a note with your donation.
4. Enter your payment information: card number, expiration date, and CVV (security code).
5. Select “I am not a robot” to verify your donation.
6. Review all information to make sure it is correct.
7. Click “Submit.”
8. You will then receive an email confirmation of your donation.

What impact will my donation have?

Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit law firm focused on advocacy for low-income and underserved populations. We serve millions of people at 125% of federal poverty guidelines that reside in 72 counties in the Eastern and Gulf Coast regions of Texas, and 4 counties of Southwest Arkansas. LSLA focuses its resources on maintaining, enhancing, and protecting income and economic stability; preserving housing; improving outcomes for children; establishing and sustaining family safety and stability, health and well‐being; and assisting populations with special vulnerabilities, like those with disabilities or limited English language skills, the elderly or homeless.

Lone Star Legal Aid accepts donations from the public towards the provision of legal services to eligible clients. We receive financial support from the federally-funded Legal Services Corporation. Our funds may not be used in any manner inconsistent with the Legal Services Corporation Act of Section 504 of Public Law 104-134. A donation to LSLA, of any amount, helps us continue our mission of providing free civil legal services to low-income Texans.

When can I make a donation?

Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) accepts donations all year round. Our Giving Season campaign runs between November 1st and December 31st, but our mission to provide free civil legal services to low-income Texans never stops.

Do I have to live in LSLA’s service area to donate?

No, you do not have to live in our service area to donate. We appreciate your interest in making a charitable contribution that will help those in need outside your community.
