PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) will host a free community legal outreach event on Thursday, March 5, 2026, to help Port Arthur residents facing housing-related issues and other civil legal problems.
The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, located at 501 W. Thomas Blvd., Port Arthur, TX 77640.
The outreach was organized in response to concerns raised by residents in and around the Prince Hall Village Apartments area, where community members have reported serious housing conditions, including a lack of hot water, mold, and non-functioning heating and air conditioning systems.
During the event, Lone Star Legal Aid’s Beaumont Branch staff will provide a general information session followed by one-on-one meetings with LSLA attorneys for eligible individuals. Attorneys will meet with residents to discuss housing conditions, tenant rights, and other civil legal issues.
Residents are encouraged to pre-register. LSLA plans to have a registration kiosk available at the location in the days leading up to the event. Individuals who do not pre-register may still attend and apply for services on site. Those who qualify will have the opportunity to speak with an attorney the same day.
The event is free and open to the public.
