Lone Star Legal Aid’s Military Veterans Unit reviewed Robert’s disabilities and military record and assisted him in securing service-connected disability benefits, creating a meaningful improvement in his daily life. He now receives monthly disability compensation from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and has access to comprehensive healthcare through the VA. These benefits provide Robert with more stable income and connect him to healthcare services specifically designed to support veterans.
The additional income has helped ease the pressure of living on a fixed budget. At the same time, access to veteran-focused healthcare gives Robert greater confidence that his medical needs will be met. With improved financial stability and dependable healthcare, Robert can look toward the future with greater peace of mind.
