Channelview Health & Improvement Coalition will be holding an in-person meeting this Thursday night, July 24th at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Channelview Fire Department Station 3 located at 1210 Dell Dale, Channelview, TX 77530. There will be a social time with refreshments from 5:30 – 6:20 p.m. before the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.

Presentation: Amy Dinn Lone Star Legal Aid Litigation Director Environmental Justice Project will share news regarding positive changes within the City of Houston’s planning and permitting process for Amending Plats, Landscaping Variances, Development Plats and Parking Variances. These changes not only apply to the City of Houston, but also to the unincorporated areas within COH’s 5 mile Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) i.e Channelview.
Diamond Pham, Air Alliance Houston Outreach Coordinator Community Air Monitoring Program will provide information regarding the new community air monitor recently installed in Channelview’s air monitoring network.
Community Discussion: Illegal dumping and proper disposal of heavy trash items. Updates on current permit applications and recent events. Attendees will be provided the opportunity to share issues they are aware of and to discuss their concerns.
Representatives from Harris County Precinct 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia’s office, Precinct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey’s office, Pollution Control, and HC Sheriff’s Office will be attending to hear your concerns and to be available to speak with you.
