You are invited to attend the Resource for Service Members and Veterans on Sunday February 23, 2025 at the Ellington Resource Fair. This event will be held just off-base Ellington Field in the Lone Star Flight Museum parking lot. Our goal is to bring resources to Ellington Field’s active and reserve service members while still allowing Veterans without base access to attend.

Participants will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of breakout sessions related to self-advocacy, educational support systems, employment, independent living skills, and community services

In partnership with Baker Ripley, volunteers for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) will prepare tax returns for qualified households. Staff from Lone Star Legal Aid will be on site to provide information on our services and how to apply for assistance.

LSLA’s Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP) has been invited by our UTP Clinic, International/Southwest, to participate in their upcoming monthly staff meeting. During this session, we will present on best practices for optimizing the MLP referral process. Additionally, we will engage with the attending medical professionals on issue spotting and address any other pertinent matters that may arise
