Who does Lone Star Legal Aid help? 

Lone Star Legal Aid provides free civil legal services to eligible people who cannot afford an attorney.

• Consumer and economic issues: Debt collection, fraud, consumer problems, and other issues that can threaten a family’s financial stability.

• Seniors: Legal issues that can affect housing, financial security, benefits, and independence. 

• Disability-related issues: Legal problems involving access to benefits, housing, and other areas of daily life.

In 2025, Lone Star Legal Aid handled 27,973 cases that helped 67,153 people.
