Lone Star Legal Aid provides free legal services to low income families on civil matters, such as landlord/tenant disputes and mortgage foreclosures; family issues such as divorces and custody issues; contract disputes; estate planning and requests for information on relevant topics within our service area.
The Public Benefits Unit assists to help people obtain or maintain benefits from the Social Security Administration, Texas Health and Human Services Commission, and Texas Workforce Commission. These benefits include disability claims for SSI and SSDI, unemployment compensation and wage claims, Medicare and Medicaid, SNAP, Medicare Savings Programs and others.
